Golf and wine enthusiasts can always find a warm terroir for teeing off and toasting in Argentina.

Great golf courses and beautiful vineyards: Two of Argentina’s most attractive assets for foreign visitors continue to blend seamlessly like an Atamisque Assemblage or a La Linda Chardonnay Viognier.

Argentina’s Golf Circuit on the Wine Trails (Circuito de Golf en los Caminos del Vino) launched earlier this year with four golf tournaments held at some of Mendoza’s finest golf courses including Algodon Wine Estates and Tupungato Winelands.

In June, the trail took a long fairway drive north to beautiful Salta where La Estancia de Cafayate and the Salta Polo Club played host to events. This weekend the Wine Trail takes a dogleg south to La Rioja Province for the first of two tournaments at La Rioja Golf Club.

Such is the beauty of playing golf in a country over 2,200 miles long where golf and wine enthusiasts can always find a warm terroir for teeing up and 19th Hole toasting.

As winter fades to spring, the Wine Trail moves further south to the provinces of San Juan and Cordoba in August and ultimately to the southernmost Argentine golf courses and vineyards in Rio Negro and Neuquen by September. The Wine Trail winds its way back to Mendoza in November for four more tournaments at the usual grape stomping grounds.
