The money available to reduce the deficit or to prioritize other expenses with greater impact, such as social or infrastructure spending, is a relevant figure. The Government announced 9 measures to reduce spending on public administration, with which it expects to save 26.4 billion argentine pesos in one year.
1) "Zero incorporations". As of July 1, the incorporations of personnel to the State are frozen for 24 months, under any type of modality. The exceptions are for Universities, Health, Conicet, the foreign service, and the Armed Forces.
2) The Technical Assistance agreements will be without effect as of December 31 and this modality can no longer be used to provide personal services.
4) The Ministries will have 30 days to inform the Ministry of Modernization how much they spent during this year in overtime and meals, which should reduce them by 30%.
