Japanese companies are set to invest between $6 billion and $9 billion in Argentina over the next three years in sectors ranging from mining and energy to agriculture, M-Brain reported.

The two countries will sign this year an agreement for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments in a move to support these plans.

Noriteru Fukushima, the Japanese ambassador in Argentina, he believes that Argentina’s economy will start rebounding next year, which will include a rise in investments, thanks to the measures that the new administration of pro-market oriented President Mauricio Macri has made this year.
