The President of Argentina, Mauricio Macri and the Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, considered that their countries are in a decisive moment to increase their relations and, therefore, they defended together the great "opportunity" that would be the commercial agreement between the European Union and Mercosur.
"We have reconfirmed that we both believe that these negotiations that have taken more volume and dynamics between the Mercosur and the European Union are a great platform, they are a great highway to accelerate the integration between Portugal and Argentina," said Macri. "Whoever starts to work first will first have the best results of this cooperation in a large area of free trade between Europe and Mercosur," Costa continued. As a pending task they pointed out the lack of direct flights between the two countries.
