In what is probably the most unexpected piece of news of the day, Clarin reported that President Mauricio Macri held a phone conversation with now former President of the United States, Barack Obama, who, in even more unexpected news, told Macri that he’ll be making a trip back to the country in February 2018.
According to the outlet, which says confirmed the information with “high official sources,” the two talked about their families and Obama apologized for not having been able to make it to the Southern region of the country, where Macri had invited him to. The President likely invited him to the “Cumelén Country Club,” where he usually spends his vacations. Obama did spend a day in Bariloche after his two-day state visit to Argentina in March last year.
