By Decree 959/2016 published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette, the government of Argentina has eliminated the rate of reciprocity to citizens from the United States.
After Barack Obama’s visit last March, the suspension of charge for 90 days was applied and ratified this Tuesday to go into effect in 30 days.
The decision was signed by President Mauricio Macri, Chief of Staff Marcos Pena, and Interior Minister Rogelio Frigerio. The goal of this government in tourism related matters is to attract half a million Americans in 2019 and, in order to achieve this, we also have several promotional campaigns in place at subways and airports.
