Argentina is open for business again after more than a decade of isolation, and wants to feed the world as well as helping to combat extremism and populism, says Susana Malcorra, the Argentine diplomat who is in the running to become the next head of the United Nations.

Ironically, Argentina’s emergence from 12 years of populist rule by Peronist leader Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and her late husband Néstor coincides with the rise of populism in Europe rocking the EU project, including the U.K.’s vote for Brexit.
